The low carbon steel CD weld pins are available in galvanized coated or copper coated, The diameter is available in 14 Gauge( 2.0mm), 12 Gauge(2.7mm) ,11 Gauge( 3mm),10 Gauge(3.4mm), 4mm, 5mm etc. the length is available from 19mm from 500mm.
The CD weld pins are welded to the sheet metal where should install the insulation materials by a stud welding machine, there is a weld tip on the CD weld pin head. Install the CD weld pins into the weld gun, weld the CD weld pin onto the sheet metal, finally install the insulation material onto the CD weld pins and use a self locking washer( Insulation speed washer) or Insulation dome caps to secure the insulation material.
